The Bug Zoo in Victoria, B.C. |
This is a very large bug! |
This is a walking stick. When you see it on a tree, you can easily mistake it for a twig. |

- This is a leaf bug. When it sits on a tree branch it looks just like a leaf. The leaf bug is so light it hardly feels like you are holding anything.
|

- This is a millipede. Millipedes are vegetarians and do not bite. It feels really strange when a millipede crawls on your hand.

 |
- To left: This taratula is named Rosie. She is about 3 years old. Her abdomen is velvety soft to the touch. She was very cooperaive and did not try to crawl away when we held and stroked her. North American tarantulas are not dangarous. Ta
rantulas can live to be 30 years old in captivity.
